AISURU, operated by Avant Concepts LLC, gives you full control over your account and personal data. You can permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time using either of the methods below.
Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the AISURU app on iOS or Android, or sign in at app.aisuru.dating.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion.
Your account is deleted immediately. You will be signed out, and your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app or your account, email support@aisuru.dating from the address associated with your AISURU account with the subject line “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity and complete the deletion within 7 business days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our active systems:
- Your profile (name, date of birth, photos, gender, sexuality, location)
- Your essays and any extracted personality traits
- Your match history and compatibility scores
- Chat messages you have sent (your messages are removed; copies your matches received remain in their own message history, as is standard for messaging apps)
- Your phone number, email address, and authentication credentials
- Push notification tokens, device identifiers, and app preferences
- Any reports you submitted about other users (your identity is removed; the report content is retained for safety purposes)
What is kept and why
A small amount of data is retained for legal, safety, and accounting reasons:
- Subscription and payment records — kept for up to 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws. These records contain your transaction history but are anonymized of any profile content.
- Safety records — if you were the subject of a report from another user that resulted in a moderation action, a minimal record (the action taken and the date) is retained to prevent re-registration in violation of our Community Guidelines.
- Aggregate analytics — anonymized usage statistics that cannot be tied back to you (e.g., “number of users in city X in month Y”) may be retained indefinitely.
All data retained as described above is decoupled from your identity. We do not retain your essays, photos, chat messages, or contact information after deletion.
Backups
Encrypted backups of our database are kept for up to 30 days for disaster recovery. Deleted personal data continues to exist in those backups during this window but is inaccessible to AISURU staff or systems for any other purpose, and is purged from rotation within 30 days.
Subscriptions
Deleting your AISURU account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. To cancel an active subscription:
- iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → AISURU+ → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → AISURU+ → Cancel.
